Q value: damping coefficient

The so-called damping coefficient is the "Q value" often heard. This part can be divided into mechanical Q value and electrical Q value. The mechanical Q value refers to the parts that have no magnetic field or electrical such as elastic waves, suspensions, sound cones, etc. The electrical Q value refers to the voice coil and magnet parts. The higher the Q value of the single body, the more the low-frequency volume will be. As for the value of the Q value, it depends on the preference of the speaker designer or the product demand. Generally, the Q value of the speaker is between 0.7-1.0, and the LS 3 / 5A is set at 1.2. Of course, this is to make the bass unit with a small 3 / 5A caliber to give a better sense of low frequency.

F0: The speaker has a natural resonance frequency point in the low frequency band (referred to as F0). In the effective audio frequency range of a normal speaker, the F0 point has the largest distortion. This value is used in speaker design.

LB: unit of weight, short for pound. 1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds.
